A Royal History

There is an interesting story behind the establishment of Queen’s Tandoor Bali! Let’s rewind to the year 1986 when Mr. Ramesh, a partition-era immigrant, and his wife Mrs. Sarita, a culinary art enthusiast ventured into the restaurant business and started Queen’s Of India, an Indian fine dining restaurant in Jakarta, Indonesia (quite successful & popular to this date). By the early 2000s, a new trend of choosing Bali as their wedding destination gained popularity amongst the Jakarta-based Indian community. And they all wanted only Queen’s Of India to provide Indian food catering for their wedding party in Bali! Interestingly, Mr. Ramesh used to fly all the cooking equipment, chefs, and staff over from Jakarta to accommodate these requests.

The idea for ' Why Not A Queen’s Restaurant In Bali’ soon came into existence and on November 8, 2004, Queen’s Tandoor, a fine Indian dining & catering restaurant officially opened its doors in Bali. With its bespoke & scrumptious Indian food menu along with a dedicated team of talented Indian chefs & courteous staff, Queen’s Tandoor soon expanded its subsequent branches in Kuta, Tanjung Benoa Nusa Dua, and Ubud, becoming the reigning monarch in Indian food in all the key tourist hubs of Bali!
