trip to Bali

Here’s how you can accomplish a backpacking trip to Bali. Insights from one of the best restaurants in Bali

The pristine turquoise waters, the undeniable beautiful views and the endless activities of Bali might make it seem like an expensive destination. Well as one of the best restaurants in Bali, we can assure you that it totally depends on you. Bali is an exotic location sure but not an expensive one. The destination is pretty flexible to your budget. Thus, be it an expensive luxury trip you wish to plan or an affordable backpacking trip, Bali will offer you all. Here’s a bit of insight on how you can plan your perfect and budgeted backpacking trip.

Budget

Backpacking in Bali is pretty inexpensive. Firstly, you can easily get scooters on rent which makes traveling around the island pretty cheap since you are not spending on cabs or hiring a car. When it comes to accommodation, for about as cheap as 200,000 IDR you can get a nice room in a guesthouse and if you want an even authentic backpacking experience then you could definitely book a bed in a hostel which would cost you even less. Rest depends on the location of your stay and the number of days you stay there. When it comes to food, again there are a lot of affordable restaurants there, one of them being an Indian restaurant in Ubud, Nusa Dua, Seminyak, and Kuta; Queens of India.

Now that you know that the budget won’t be a problem, it’s time to pan out the perfect backpacking route.

Uluwatu

Start the trip with the lovely Uluwatu and stay there for about 3-6 days. This is one of the relaxed spots in Bali but one that offers amazing parties too. You can also expect to witness some brilliant natural views. You can find endless beautiful hostels here that would be in your budget and of course being as it is a backpacking trip a hostel is just perfect. You get to meet and talk to new people.

Some of the best places you can visit there are the Pura Luhur Temple, Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park, Padang Padang Beach, Suluban Beach, New Kuta Golf, Anantara Spa and a lot more! Make sure you satisfy all your hunger pangs with some Indian food in Bali with Queens of India.

Kuta/Seminyak

Next, you can head to down to Kuta and Seminyak and you need about 2-5 days in these areas. Both the places are about 15 minutes from one another so you can book your accommodation in any one of those places and just explore the other one on your scooter. These two are more of the popular areas of Bali so you’ll witness a lot of tourists here as well as a good number of tourist activities too.

From partying to relaxing on the beach, there’s so much to do here. Kuta is also one of the places to indulge in all kinds of water sports when the waves are right. Head down to Kuta beach, Legian beach or Seminyak beach and you’ll witness a whole lot of tourist crowd there too. Book yourself a swanky hostel which would be pretty affordable or even a capsule hotel.

Places to visit in Kuta: Waterbom water park, Beachwalk shopping center, Kuta beach, Vihara Dharmanya Kuta and more.

Places to visit in Seminyak: Seminyak beach, Petitenget temple, Nyaman gallery, Biasa Art space, La Laguna beach, etc.

Make sure you also head down to one of the best Indian restaurants in Bali Seminyak for a brilliant culinary experience.

Canggu

After that, you can head to Canggu for another 2-5 days. This is more for the peace seekers and tourists do not crowd the place much. Again it’s pretty close to Kuta/Seminyak so if you have lesser time then just plan a day trip to Canggu but you surely cannot miss it. From a lovely nightlife to some amazing restaurants and beautiful beaches with surfing opportunities, there’s a whole lot to do here. If you plan to stay a few days in Canggu then again you can find a lot of affordable hostels here too.

Places to visit in Canggu: Batu Batong beach, Tanah Lot temple, Samadi Bali and Love Anchor markets (Sunday markets) and more.

Once you’ve had a lovely day around Canggu head down to a restaurant offering Indian dining in Bali.

There are of course lovely places like Ubud, Denpasar, Nusa Dua, Nusa Penida and more but it all depends on the number of days you plan to spend in Bali. Make sure, though, that you head down to Queens of India, one of the best restaurants in Bali.
