Flowing conversations, rainy weather, chilly nights. All the things we associate with an invigorating warm cup of Masala Chai. Make sure you witness its magic at an Indian restaurant in Nusa Dua or our other branches. A perfect accompaniment to your warm and delectable food, the Masala Chai is packed with balmy and strong masalas that can instantly give you a boost of energy.
Here’s a little about this relaxing concoction and how we prepare it.
Being a well-known restaurant offering Indian dining in Nusa Dua, Seminyak, Kuta and Ubud, we decided to begin researching the origins of this strong blend. It all began with a focus on Tea’s medicinal properties. However, with the onset of the British Raj, it became an addictive must-have commodity.
The British really used to enjoy tea they’d source from China, but with time they realized how much of a luxury item it became and thus, they went onto expanding tea growth in our land. Also knowing about the Tea’s addictive properties, the British government sold it as a free commodity and later monetized it, when it became a necessity for Indians. Thus, making India the largest producer and consumer of Tea. We thus became popular for our chai, which is why bringing it along with us to Bali was essential.
The kind of tea leaves you decide to choose for your perfect brew really makes a difference in the kind of flavor you’d achieve. The options are vast, there’s a lot to choose from. We as a restaurant offering Indian dining in Bali source the strongest and premium quality teas from the beautiful regions of Darjeeling. Freshly handpicked and carefully exported to our kitchen offering the best chai in town, this tea is blended in with amazing spices and you should surely give it a try.
While people can mix and match anything in their Masala chai according to what they prefer, the common spices used are ginger, cinnamon, cardamom, nutmeg, black pepper, and cloves. One could experiment with any kind of permutation combinations and it would be unfailingly delicious. If consuming for medicinal reasons, it all depends on the kind of issue you wish to alleviate. We as a restaurant offering excelling Indian dining in Seminyak blend the concoction according to your wishes and worry not, each is equally good!
